Factory User Program Update Performed by v1.01
The factory-loaded User Program set is updated to reflect all the improved features of OS v1.01.
Please note that this procedure will delete the User Programs stored in the DisCover 5's internal memory and replace them with new factory preset data.
UPDATE PROCEDURE FOR THE FACTORY USER PROGRAMS
1. Click on the file name on this page to download the files to your PC’s hard disk.

2. Double-click the file and copy the decompressed file called “FACTORY1002.UPG” to a formatted empty floppy disk.
3. Switch on the DisCover 5.
N.B. Be sure to remove the SmartMedia card's write-protect label before performing the following steps, and affix it again when you're finished.
4. Insert the floppy disk that contains the “FACTORY1002.UPG” file.
5. Press the DISK/MEDIA button.
6. Press the FLOPPY field.
7. Press the LOAD field.
8. Select the Factory 1002 item.
9. Press the EXECUTE field to load the new User Program set.
10. Press the SMART MEDIA field.
11. Press the SAVE field.
12. Press the EXECUTE field to save the new User Program to your Smart Media card.
