John Maul's Piano Room
|
Hello everybody and welcome to my piano room. My name is John and I've been playing Roland Digital pianos for nearly 14 years. Whether at home practicing, in a small Jazz club playing with a trio or even on a large Arena gig, I've always been really happy and confident of the great sound that Roland pianos produce. Why not have a listen to the ep-760 for example? A great piano sound and so easy to carry too. You'll find some of my songs on here so please sit back, relax and enjoy the great sounds of the ep-760. |

Late
Night Chopin |
demo |
Here's a jazzy arrangement of Chopin's famous Eb Nocturne (Op. 9 No 2) - with a little hidden joke in the title! Two versions of this arrangement exist - one for solo piano (which you will listen to) and the other with a GS sound source (featured on some of Roland top-end KR pianos). |
Fly
Free |
demo |
A piece I wrote 10 years ago that seems to have evoked so much favourable response from friends and family - I am trying to make the piano score for this available on my website (www.johnmaul.com) in the near future. Hope you like it too. |
Hungarian
Rag |
demo |
A piano ragtime arrangement of the Hungarian Dance no.5. If Scott Joplin had met Brahms - who knows, he may have come up with something like this. |
Paganoogie
Variation |
demo |
Another favourite - this timeless Paganini theme has been set to variations by so many composers - so I thought I'd have a go. Paganini meets boogie woogie. |
Babel's
Blunder |
demo |
A break from the norm for me having a more contemporary jazz feel - you may hear occasional influences from some of my favourite bands such as Yellow Jackets and Pat Metheny. By using the GS sound source, it's possible to create some great ensemble sounds. |
